![]() ![]() ![]() The good news is that there are some ad blockers available that work seamlessly with the Twitch website. This means that most ad blockers cause the purple screen error message below. ![]() Unfortunately, Twitch has advanced ad-block prevention tech. Useful for event/sports threads. If you are sick of constantly being interrupted by adverts on Twitch you are probably looking for a reliable ad blocker. Resetera Live Thread - (shoutouts to Madjoki!) this is a Tampermonkey script so you still need the addon itself installed, but this will allow you to in-line refresh Era threads with new comments based on an interval you choose without reloading the entire page. No Coin - may be redundant if you already have ublock and tracking turned to strict, but just in case it blocks sites that might surreptitiously use your computer resources to mine crypto in the background, though probably even more redundant now given the crypto crash Return Youtube Dislike - does waht it says on the tin, though obviously it's only functional so far as people actually using said addon. Imgur-Uploader (dunno why the actuall FF addon link is broken but this should do the trick?) - adds an "upload to imgur" option to the context menu when you right click any image and optionally will automatically copy the url straight to your clipboard upon upload. Just wanna say thanks all! Even as a longtime FF stalwart I found a couple useful new addons in here. Useful extensions that I use that aren't Privacy or Security related are: Have uBlock Origin and enable the certain lists I mentioned. When it comes to Security and Privacy, all you really need to do is set Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection to "Strict" and enable HTTPS in settings. Don't need TTV LOL as you can follow this guide to add the filter to uBlock Origin: Also, last I checked it was also discontinued. Don't need uMatrix as uBlock Origin does it now. Don't need "ClearURLs", since uBlock Origin does it by enabling certain filters. Don't need "HTTPS Everywhere" - it's built into Firefox Don't need "disconnect", since you use uBlock Origin and that does a MUCH better job. They were bought by Avast and you can get the same features by enabling "AdGuard Annoyances" and "uBlock Annoyances" in the filter list. Don't need "I don't care about cookies". Don't need Privacy Badger, it's not needed if you use uBlock Origin and turning Enhanced Tracking Protection to Strict in Firefox settings. Don't need ghostery as they've just been really shady and it's not needed also, they've sold data once so who knows if they would do it again. Just a heads up on some extensions some people have suggested: Like, this can help you tremendously understanding Japanese just by overing over hiragana, katakana and kanji with definitions, romaji, etc. You can do this yourself by editing the URL but this extension does it automatically for you. Gives you the full video watching page for YT Shorts. " Unhook - Remove YouTube Recommanded Videos"Ĭan remove a lot of annoying shit from YT and not just recommanded videos. If you thumb down a video, your feedback will be sent to the devs so they can make the extension even more accurate for others. Old videos before a certain date have their thumb down numbers archived so they are more accurate. Gives you back an approximate amount of thumb dows back to YT videos. If a popup about them pops up, you can report the page right from the extension. Want to see if an image might be available in a larger size? This extension is for you. This "spawns" a download status bar at the bottom and said bar is very highly customizable. Since it needs to be injected, you need to activate the addon each time on each page. This fixes it just by injecting a little something in the current loaded page to let you do just that. ![]() However, the page doesn't let you right click to that. Sometimes you find yourself on a webpage where you want to save an image or copy a small portion of text. ![]()
